All-natural Japanese shiki futon mattress made from pure cotton. This authentic mattress features natural cotton batting. It meets US fire retardant standards by using a natural boron material.
The 4-inch mattress is not recommended for Bi-fold futon frames due to the lack of a firm core. Cotton's softness causes undefined edges and will flatten and expand in surface area over time.

Futon mattresses with a cotton core may measure 1–2 inches shorter than standard sizes due to their rounded edges and design. They may also appear smaller upon delivery because of compression during packing and shipping—please allow 1–2 weeks for them to expand to their average size. All measurements are for reference only.
