Collection: Headboards

Solid wood headboards let you add a headboard to a platform bed, or change one later, without replacing the frame. They are designed to attach to select Comfort Pure beds, including our tatami beds and captain's beds, and are finished to match those frames, so you can start with a minimalist, headboard-free look and add a headboard for sitting up in bed when you want one.

Headboards are made to fit specific frames, so start with the bed: browse Japanese tatami beds and captain's beds with storage drawers, then check each headboard's product page for compatible beds and sizes. If you prefer to go without, see bed frames without headboards.

For layout ideas, Feng Shui Bed Placement: Where to Put Your Bed and Why covers positioning the bed in a room, and Japanese Joinery: A Wabi-Sabi Approach to Strong, Minimal Wood Bed Frames explains the construction behind our tatami frames.
