Japanese Tatami Daybed Frame

This minimalist Japanese-style daybed frame is crafted from 100% solid Indonesian Mahogany hardwood. Perfectly sized to fit a standard twin mattress, it features a modern interlocking frame design. Sitting at a sleek, low-profile 8 inches high, the frame comes with wooden slats and is ideal for use with a standard twin mattress.

This frame is the perfect foundation for creating a custom DIY daybed. To build your ideal setup, simply add a coir pad or a traditional tatami mat, followed by a 6-to-8-inch thick twin-size mattress wrapped in a stylish futon cover. Because the frame itself does not feature built-in back support, it is best utilized when placed flush against a wall or tucked into a corner to provide a sturdy resting place for your pillows. Additionally, since the wooden frame panels are 3 inches wide, utilizing bolster pillows alongside your standard back cushions will offer the best support and fit for your new lounging space.
